1.Favorite Field Hockey Memory? Why?

My favorite memory is when my first indoor team qualified for NITs. We had worked so hard to get there and it finally paid off.

2.What was your most exciting recruiting experience?

My most exciting experience was when I visited Kenyon and I knew it was exactly where I wanted to go.

3.Why are you playing field hockey in college?

4.What have you done this summer to prepare?

I’ve been doing my Kenyon packet and going to the field to practice my hitting and skills.

5.If you could give one piece of advice to younger girls who want to play field hockey in college, what would it be?

Just go for it! If you set your mind to it you can do it even if you have only been playing a short time.

6.Who was the most influential person in high school?

The most influential people in high school were Anya, Tina and Adam. They pushed me to my potential and supported me even when I started field hockey so late.

8.What pre game rituals do you use to hype yourself up before a game?

9.What made you want to be a college field hockey player?

I fell in love with the sport and realized I didn’t want my field hockey journey to end after 4 years.

10.What was one of the toughest experiences?

One of the toughest experiences for me was Disney this year because it was such a difficult tournament for my team. However, we played our hardest and ended up placing third.

11.Year you began playing field hockey? How?

I picked up a stick for the first time in 9th grade and started playing Pride my junior year.

Favorite Abby Moment (old) / why?:

Abbey started in the fall of her junior year. Her first major tournament was Festival in Tampa where she played with our top U19 team. It was a big learning experience for her, but she did great with that group.

Favorite Abby moment (new)/ why?

Coach Madi: Every moment with Abbey was always had us laughing! My favorite moment with Abbey was when we decided for the rest of the season we were going to train her as an "unpredictable" forward and it was our running joke for the rest of the season through the whole team.

Story we will forever tell about Abby:

Abbey joined in the Fall of her Junior year with a dream of playing in college. Prior to that, she played with her school team and in some of our league programs. We laid out a plan to help her accomplish her goal and Abbey executed it to help her accomplish her goals. She consistently attended practice and planned

Favorite Abby recruiting moment/ why?

Abbey went to various schools in the spring that fit her criteria and simply found the best fit for her. She was very thorough and involved in the process which helped her be so successful

First memory of Abby / why?

My first memory of Abbey was meeting with her and her mom for recruiting. Abbey's mom was kind of in disbelief that she could be successful through this process, but was willing to go through it. It was pretty impressive how determined Abbey was to accomplish her goal. She worked hard throughout that year to do so.
