1.Favorite Field Hockey Memory? Why?
  • Winning Disney in shootouts two years ago, specifically when the team ran to me after we won against WC

​2.What was your most exciting recruiting experience?
  • Realizing there is a place for me somewhere

​3.Why are you playing field hockey in college?
  • I love the sport, and want to have more structure in my college experience. I also want to be apart of another team, and create life long friendships.

4.What have you done this summer to prepare?
  • My college workout packet and playing with pride

5.If you could give one piece of advice to younger girls who want to play field hockey in college, what would it be?
  • Remember how fun it is and to treat everything as an opportunity for growth

​6.Who was the most influential person in high school?
  •    My dad

7.Favorite post practice/ game snack?
  • Panera sandwich

8.What pre game rituals do you use to hype yourself up before a game?
  • Clear my head before game and get excited for the game with team

9.What made you want to be a college field hockey player?
  • Loving my team and the sport ​

10.What was one of the toughest experiences?
  • My dad dying and going through recruiting right after

11.Year you began playing field hockey? How?
  • ​Seventh grade, my mom made me ​​
From Emily:
Favorite Emily Moment (old) / why?:
  • I remember when we started talking to Emily about being a GK. We were in Chicago at a tournament and we didn't have any gk's in the 2023 Class. Somehow we started talking to Emily about it along with some others. She decided to try it out in the Winter.  Her team that winter took 1st place in their pool at National Indoor - great start to her GK career. She then became part of a group of GK's that all started playing GK at the same time. They all became incredible goalie's who are going on to play in college.  

Favorite Emily moment (new)/ why?
  • Emily had an incredible game last year at NCC against Spirit. She was in total control of the game and just played out of her mind good.  I was so proud of Emily as I thought it showed the level she is capable of playing at. 

​Story we will forever tell about Emily:
  • I will always tell the story about how much better Emily started playing after she committed to Louisville.  She had this calm and confidence and just took off in performance.  She had a pretty rough year the year prior, so once she committed, it was like this massive weight of the last year was off her shoulders and she could just play like she was capable of.
  • Emily always laughs. Always.  Her and Libby were always giggling about something... She would joke and laugh about everything which always made practice or even tense situations a little lighter.  I always appreciated that about Emily :)

Favorite Emily recruiting moment/ why?
  • Recruiting was tough for Emily. She was this really strong GK who just had a tough go with recruiting over her sophomore year.  She didn't have a lot of momentum going into June 15th. But she persisted and started playing much better over the summer. That Fall, she went up to Louisville and it was the perfect fit for her.  My favorite part of her recruiting was when she got her footing and gained momentum with Louisville. 

​First memory of Emily / why?
  • ​My first memory of Emily is when she was trying to play field and she was decent, but struggled with some ball handling. She had good hand-eye coordination, was athletic and was vocal, so we had the thought that she might be a decent GK.  So glad we were correct and that she took the chance on being a goalie.
